Job summary

Veeam Software seeks a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the technical approach for complex customer accounts and drive value from the platform in enterprise environments. You will own deployments across hybrid environments and define scalable architectures in collaboration with executives and engineering teams.

You will work hands-on with Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud platforms, building reusable patterns, tools, and playbooks while mentoring colleagues and handling high‑impact

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of deeply technical, customer-facing roles in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, platform engineering, or technical consulting.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript with ability to read unfamiliar code quickly.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience deploying and operating solutions across complex cloud, hybrid, and on-premises enterprise environments.
• Understanding of APIs, data stores, and data workflows; experience building practical technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery for the most complex customer accounts from deployment to daily use.
• Lead deployments across hybrid environments including cloud, on-prem, Kubernetes, containers, Linux.
• Define solution architectures for data, security, and business requirements.
• Build reusable patterns, tools, and playbooks for the broader team.
• Mentor other engineers and lead architecture/design sessions with stakeholders.
