Job summary

Fin is looking for a commercially fluent technical leader to build and lead the Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) New Business team in San Francisco. You will own both technical execution and business value outcomes, driving complex enterprise deployments with Sales, Solutions and Product collaboration.

You will manage a high-performing team, translate field experience into actionable feedback, and codify deployments into reusable tools and playbooks that scale across Fin and its customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience in roles such as Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, Applied AI or related technical roles.
• 3+ years leading technical customer-facing teams with hiring and mentoring experience.
• Experience selling and deploying AI, data, or highly technical products in complex enterprise environments.
• Comfortable with ambiguous problem spaces and able to translate into clear signals for Product and Engineering.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to work across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and nurture a high-performing FDE team under pressure.
• Own end-to-end outcomes with clear communication and fast execution.
• Operate as a player-coach, contributing to strategic deals and mentoring.
• Provide technical guidance, architecture, demos, and sales support for seven-figure opportunities.
• Codify deployments into tools and playbooks to leverage the organization.
• Champion a customer-obsessed culture and address early indicators of success or failure.
• Lead discovery, design, and delivery of tailored technical solutions, including PoCs.
• Represent Fin in executive meetings and strategic events.
