Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work with enterprise customers on Generative AI and LLM-driven projects, migrating legacy databases, modernizing architectures, and integrating AI features into applications. You’ll influence MongoDB’s AI strategy and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable software solutions.

This role is remote within the U.S. or at MongoDB North America offices, requiring strong software engineering and AI/ML expertise, with focus on enterprise

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience with enterprise clients.
Proficient in Java, SQL, Python and AI/ML concepts.
Experience with refactoring, architecture migration, and AI-powered applications.

Responsibilities

Refactor applications, migrate legacy databases, and optimize performance with MongoDB.
Prototype and build AI-powered features using LLMs and Generative AI frameworks.
Apply modern software practices to accelerate AI adoption with microservices.
Influence MongoDB’s AI and software roadmap from real-world implementations.
Collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver scalable software.
