MongoDB, Inc. is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work with enterprise customers on AI-driven modernization projects across Generative AI and LLMs. You will be hands-on in migrating legacy databases, modernizing architectures, and integrating AI features into applications.

This role influences MongoDB’s AI strategy and product direction. The position is remote within the U.S. or in MongoDB North America offices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering delivering enterprise solutions.
• Strong background in AI/ML concepts and open-source development.
• Experience with refactoring, migration, and microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with enterprise customers to refactor applications and migrate legacy databases.
• Prototype and build AI-powered features using LLMs and Generative AI frameworks.
• Influence MongoDB AI strategy and product direction based on real-world customer needs.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver scalable software solutions.
• Promote best practices in test-driven development and architecture decisions.
