Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to partner with enterprise customers on Generative AI, LLMs, and modern app development. You will migrate legacy databases, modernize architectures, and integrate AI-driven functionality into applications while helping shape MongoDB’s AI strategy and product direction.

This role will be based remotely anywhere within the U.S. or any MongoDB North America office, collaborating with engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise solutions.
• Experience with AI/ML concepts and open-source development.
• Familiarity with monolithic vs. microservices architectures and database migrations.

Responsibilities

• Refactor applications and migrate legacy databases for enterprise customers.
• Prototype and build AI-powered features using LLMs and Generative AI frameworks.
• Accelerate customers’ AI adoption with modern software engineering practices.
• Influence MongoDB’s AI and software development roadmap from real-world implementations.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver scalable AI-enabled software.
