Job summary

ChipAgents, a forefront AI-enabled semiconductor verification company, seeks a Formal Verification Engineer to join our core product and research team. You will develop formal properties and testplans, build abstractions, and drive convergence with advanced formal tools, collaborating with AI and EDA experts on frontier hardware verification challenges.

You will translate complex designs into robust verification strategies, prove properties, and help shape AI-assisted chip design workflows for

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in formal verification methodologies and signoff flows.
• Hands-on experience with formal tools such as JasperGold, VC Formal, or Questa Formal.
• Deep knowledge of SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) and assertion-based verification.
• Experience writing formal testplans with assumptions, assertions, and cover properties.
• Experience proving complex properties and debugging counterexamples.
• Familiarity with SAT/SMT-based reasoning and formal verification fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Identify key design behaviors and translate them into formal verification testplans for complex designs.
• Develop and debug SystemVerilog Assertions, formal properties, environment assumptions, and cover properties.
• Build abstraction models to tackle complexity and enable full or bounded proofs with good coverage.
• Tune formal tools, engines, strategies, and run configurations to improve convergence.
• Analyze RTL, prove design correctness, and debug counterexamples to locate root causes of failures.
• Collaborate with AI engineers and researchers to model formal verification workflows.
• Create reusable formal verification patterns and edge-case examples for AI training.
• Translate verification pain points into automated AI-assisted workflows for customers.
• Contribute to verification flow and script development to boost team efficiency.
• Communicate formal coverage and results to customers and internal stakeholders.
