Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Principal EDA R&D Engineer to pioneer the next generation of Hardware Formal Verification tools. Lead research, architecture, and development of core engines enhanced by Agentic AI frameworks, crafting autonomous AI agent networks for scalable verification across large designs.

The role requires deep algorithimic knowledge, production‑grade software engineering, and a strong track record delivering sophisticated EDA tools. Equity and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional R&D experience building EDA hardware verification tools.
• Deep mathematical and hands‑on understanding of formal methods including BMC, IC3/PDR, abstract interpretation and theorem proving.
• Expert‑level C/C++ programming with focus on high‑performance data structures and multi‑threading.
• Experience with Agentic AI pipelines and multi‑agent frameworks for code/hardware tasks.
• Experience with RTL languages and SVA.

Responsibilities

• Architect and advance formal verification algorithms (Model Checking, SAT/SMT, BDDs, Theorem Proving).
• Design and deploy multi‑agent AI systems that analyze RTL topologies and optimize solver parameters.
• Develop orchestration where autonomous agents bypass state‑space explosion for large designs.
• Create engines to generate complex SystemVerilog Assertions from natural language specs.
• Drive features from research through production in high‑performance C/C++ environments for EDA suites.
