Job summary

J.S. Held LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Forensic Engineer to lead complex large-loss investigations, provide expert analysis, and testify when required.

The role offers opportunity to mentor staff, influence the FA&E practice, and drive revenue growth through client relationships. You will oversee forensic investigations into structural failures, prepare expert reports, and support litigation with technical reporting and testimony.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering field (ABET-accredited).
• Active PE or SE license.
• Advanced engineering experience, including forensic consulting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term relationship development.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within insurance, legal, and construction sectors.
• Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight on client engagements, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Mentor and grow a team of engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.
