Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience in insurance or legal forensics.
• Active PE license; resident in Florida.
• Willingness to participate in expert witness work and travel up to 30–50%.

Responsibilities

• Investigate causes of failures in mechanical systems across sites and assess construction quality.
• Lead field investigations and document damaged property.
• Research failure modes and codes; advise on repairs or replacements.
• Prepare clear reports detailing opinions and conclusions for clients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large, complex assignments.
• Maintain relationships with clients and consultants.
• Stay updated on policies and participate in ongoing training.
