Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Senior Financial Investigator to join our team providing legal support and investigative services to a large federal agency. The role focuses on planning and conducting complex investigations, analyzing financial data, and presenting evidence for litigation and enforcement actions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with federal investigations, access to and use of commercial databases, and the ability to coordinate with attorneys and paralegals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years experience in planning and conducting civil or criminal investigations.
• Knowledge of investigative techniques including the use of commercial databases and other sources of information.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for the requisite background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts investigations.
• Performs analysis of relevant facts.
• Prepares results to support the mission.
• Develops and analyzes evidence from other investigators and law enforcement officers and collects information relating to this evidence or legal matters under consideration from appropriate primary and secondary sources.
• Gathers and analyzes facts including statements, timelines, scientific, or technical data, for the purpose of advancing prosecutorial objectives.
• Establishes and/or verifies relationships among all facts and evidence.
