Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Financial Investigator to join its Financial Investigation department, delivering legal support and investigative services to a large federal agency in a full-time capacity. The role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous documentation, and the ability to handle complex financial data.

The successful candidate will conduct investigations, analyze evidence, prepare reports, and coordinate with paralegals and attorneys to support litigation

Qualifications

• Four years of experience planning and conducting civil or criminal investigations into misuse of funds.
• Working knowledge of current investigative techniques including use of databases and information sources.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain background investigation adjudication.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts investigations.
• Performs quantitative, qualitative, or other analysis of relevant facts.
• Prepares results to support the mission.
• Develops and analyzes evidence from primary and secondary sources.
• Gathers and analyzes facts for prosecutorial objectives.
• Establishes relationships among facts and evidence to confirm authenticity of documents.
