Job summary

Atlantic Health in Pompton Plains, NJ seeks a Food Service Associate to manage cash control, customer service, and inventory across multiple concepts within a C-store satellite location. You will lead on-site staff and report issues to supervision while ensuring accurate daily cash records and safe facility operations.

Responsibilities include scheduling support, evaluating team performance, and maintaining familiarity with POS and purchasing systems to support efficient service and cost control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience as Food Service Representative or relevant area.
• 4-5 years of work experience in the food industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, direction, and training to food service personnel; assigns job duties and oversees tasks.
• Manages on-site customer service needs and directs food service operations in supervisor's absence.
• Handles change fund, cash reports, deposits, and bank depository records as needed.
• Operates cash registers/POS and performs daily cash handling tasks.
• Opens/closes location daily, ensures safety, and familiarizes with POS and inventory systems.
• Assists with work schedules and monitors staff breaks; provides performance feedback.
