Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Production Supervisor to partner with the Production Manager in overseeing operations, quality, safety and material planning at a New Jersey site. You will drive metrics, staffing, and budgeting while ensuring GMP and regulatory requirements are met.

The role focuses on coaching associates, coordinating schedules, and maintaining equipment uptime. Prior supervisory experience in healthcare food service is preferred and certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in culinary arts or related field / 48 college hours or equivalent experience.
• Must have City of Houston Food Service Certification.
• Three or more years of experience in food services and/or warehouse food storage and distribution.
• Supervisory experience in Healthcare food service or related dining is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in overall operations management including quality, product safety, associate safety, production metrics, staffing, budgeting, maintenance and raw material planning.
• Ensure compliance with FSIS-Food Safety Inspection Service, GMP, USDA and State standards; monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
• Meet daily, weekly and period production objectives; develop methods to improve productivity.
• Monitor production equipment; coordinate with maintenance for servicing and GMP adherence.
• Train associates on production equipment and troubleshoot equipment to maximize uptime.
• Coordinate production scheduling to meet order demands; supervise inventory to meet goal for dumps/donations.
• Ensure safety compliance; lead safety meetings, audits and investigations; enforce company policies.
• Plan weekly staffing, material and capacity requirements; maintain floor presence at least 50% of the time.
• Handle daily administrative tasks including performance management, labor reconciliation and scheduling.
• Communicate team performance to coordinators and leads; develop action plans to improve department; perform related duties.
