Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a kitchen manager to oversee food production, ensuring nutritious meals and compliance with federal and state guidelines. The role includes managing staff, inventory, and daily operations across our facilities in New Jersey.

You will monitor recipes, portions, yields and safe preparation techniques, while coordinating with management to ensure quality and budget adherence. College degree is preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Kitchen and staff management.
• Experience monitoring food production activities and portion control.
• Ability to follow federal/state nutritional guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensures preparation and service of a nutritional and well-balanced meal according to guidelines.
• Maintains adequate stocking and plans weekly menus.
• Takes inventory, orders and receives food and supplies within budget.
• Cleans kitchen and equipment to ensure sanitary conditions.
• Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies and procedures.
• Coordinates with upper management as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
