• Ensures preparation and service of a nutritional and well-balanced meal according to federal and state nutritional guidelines.
• Ensures adequate stocking of essential food items and plans weekly menus.
• Takes inventory, orders and receives food and supplies necessary for daily food production, and checks the quality and quantity of products received within established budget.
• Cleans kitchen and equipment regularly to ensure sanitary food preparation conditions.
• Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies and procedures.
• Coordinates with upper management if and when required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
