Job summary

The University of Oklahoma Wagner Dining in Norman, OK is seeking a part-time kitchen worker to prepare food following recipes and portion control standards. The role may be assigned to a designated restaurant concept and will support the leadership team to keep staff on task.

Responsibilities include measuring and combining ingredients, using industrial equipment, serving food courteously, washing and sanitizing, and assisting other food services staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or culinary school graduate.
• 12 months of restaurant/customer service experience.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handlers License.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food following recipes and portion control standards.
• Oversee designated restaurant concept and support leadership.
• Measure, weigh and combine ingredients for quantity preparation.
• Utilize kitchen utensils, appliances, and heavy equipment.
• Serve food courteously with proper portion control and menu knowledge.
• Wash, sanitize, and store pots, pans and kitchen utensils.
• Clean counters, floors and work areas; assist other staff as needed.
