Job summary

The role requires 3+ years FOIA experience and a Bachelor's in information management or equivalent. You will coordinate with OUSD(C) staff, develop training, and support release decisions, including redactions and fee considerations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of FOIA processing experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in information management related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Responsibilities

• Analyze documents to determine actions and release procedures per FOIA, Privacy Act, EO 13526, CFR, and DoD instructions
• Interpret regulations and agency policies on release of documents to appellate requests
• Ensure released materials do not contain personal identifiers or disclose trade secrets
• Propose redactions for internal and external release
• Support FOIA processing including composing official correspondence, perfect requests, negotiating response time, and advising on fees/waivers
• Coordinate with OUSD(C) staff and SMEs on searches and initial reviews for responsive documents
• Develop an OUSD(C) FOIA training program and facilitate implementation
