CGS seeks a Senior FOIA Analyst to support a large federal agency’s legal mission. You will handle FOIA requests, draft correspondence, and negotiate with requesters and stakeholders. The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory knowledge, and secure handling of sensitive information.

Qualificações

• Three (3) years of experience processing FOIA requests.
• Demonstrated knowledge of FOIA rules and exemptions (b(4), b(5), b(6)).
• Experience redacting records with trade secrets and confidential commercial information.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Receive, review, and analyze new and backlogged FOIA requests.
• Intake requests and prepare FOIA folders.
• Enter request data into FOIA tracking database.
• Draft FOIA response letters and other correspondence.
• Communicate and negotiate with requesters, FOIA staff, sponsors, and contractors.
• Coordinate searches for responsive documents and identify duplicates.
• Review records for responsiveness and release determinations.
• Ensure released materials do not disclose exempt information.
