CGS Federal is seeking a Senior FOIA Analyst to join our team supporting a large federal agency. The role involves processing FOIA requests, drafting correspondence, and negotiating with requesters, FOIA staff, sponsors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience processing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and analyze new and backlogged FOIA requests.
• Intake incoming requests and prepare FOIA request folders.
• Enter request data in the FOIA tracking database.
• Draft response letters and other FOIA correspondence.
• Negotiate with requesters, FOIA staff, sponsors, and contractors.
• Liaise with requesters and other agencies regarding records.
• Coordinate searches for responsive documents and identify duplicates.
• Review records for responsiveness and release determinations.
• Ensure released materials comply with exemptions.
