The role supports records release determinations and compliance in a fast-paced government environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of FOIA experience, strong knowledge of exemptions, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience processing FOIA requests.
• Knowledge of FOIA exemptions b(4), b(5), b(6).
• Ability to redact records with sensitive information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and analyze FOIA requests.
• Intake requests and prepare FOIA folders.
• Enter data in FOIA tracking database.
• Draft FOIA correspondence and letters.
• Negotiate with requesters and stakeholders.
• Coordinate searches for responsive documents.
• Review records for responsiveness and release determinations.
• Ensure materials do not disclose exempt information.
