Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced production fluids engineer to support the GS2 Fluids systems on the Merritt Island facility. You will provide on-the-floor engineering support, own root-cause analysis for build issues, and drive improvements to protect schedule, safety, and quality.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, test, and operations, contributing to design-for-manufacture feedback and readiness reviews to enable reliable spaceflight.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years in production, manufacturing, test, or development of fluid systems.
  • Hands-on shop-floor experience resolving nonconformances on complex assemblies.
  • Familiar with pressure systems and cleanliness for flight/safety-critical hardware.
  • Experience with CAD and PLM tools and enterprise tracking software.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary engineering liaison between design and production for GS2 Fluids hardware.
  • Own MRB disposition of nonconformances and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead triage and root-cause analysis for build issues and test anomalies.
  • Support daily production operations and clear blockers to protect schedule.
  • Coordinate ECRs/ECOs with design to improve drawings and instructions.
  • Analyze defects and test data to drive systemic improvements and reduce waste.
  • Provide onsite engineering support during critical operations and testing.
  • Partner with Supply Chain on hardware deviations and qualification gaps.
  • Contribute to design-for-manufacture feedback for GS2 Fluids iterations.
  • Prepare risk assessments and readiness reviews with clear technical content.
