Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Fluid Systems Engineer to design, install, modify, analyze, repair and test fluid systems for the MK2 Crew Lander. You will own CAD models and drive analysis across design, fabrication, verification, and operations.

Lead manufacturability for fluid hardware, collaborate with supply chain, and define heaters, instrumentation, mounts and valves while performing structural analysis using ANSYS.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical/Aerospace or related field.
• 8+ years designing cryogenic tubes and fluid components.
• Creo 3D CAD modeling and drawings for complex fluid hardware.
• Specify fluid fittings and mounts.
• Structural hand calculations using ANSYS.
• Interpretation of P&IDs.
• ASME Y14.5 GD&T expertise.
• Static/non-linear FEA with ANSYS.
• Collaborative and trustworthy team contributor.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful status.

Responsibilities

• Generate CAD models for hypergolic/helium fluid system hardware.
• Lead design-for-manufacturing for fluid assemblies.
• Coordinate with supply chain to procure hardware and manage vendor deliverables.
• Define and implement heaters, instrumentation, mounts, and valves.
• Perform basic structural analysis on fluid system hardware.
