Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the United States seeks a senior mechanical design engineer to create fluid system hardware for the MK2 Crew Lander. You will own CAD models from concept through verification and operation, focusing on hypergolic and helium fluid components and tubing.

You will perform structural analysis, lead manufacturability efforts, and collaborate with supply chain to ensure timely vendor deliverables while maintaining safety and reliability standards across the life cycle.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience designing hypergolic and/or helium system tubes and fluid components.
• Experience with Creo, P&ID drawings, and FEA tools such as ANSYS.

Responsibilities

• Generate CAD models for hypergolic and/or helium fluid system hardware.
• Lead design for manufacturability of fluid component assemblies.
• Work with supply chain to procure hardware and manage vendor deliverables.
• Perform basic structural analysis on fluid system hardware.
• Own CAD models and coordinate analysis and manufacturing development through life cycle.
