Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Senior Float Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy, primarily through dispensing prescriptions and clerical duties under a Pharmacist's supervision.

This role requires Arizona licensure, 1+ year pharmacy data entry experience, and the ability to cover 30 Phoenix sites; hours are Monday–Friday 7:30 am–5:00 pm, with a focus on PTO and callout coverage.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Arizona.
• 1+ years of pharmacy and prescription data entry experience.
• Ability to cover all 30 Phoenix sites to cover PTO and callouts as needed.
• Ability to work office hours Monday through Friday 7:30am-5:00pm.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clinic staff and consumers.
• Fills prescription orders and verification under supervision of Pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and maintains inventory records.
• Assist Pharmacist and keep the pharmacy compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Cover all 30 sites in the Phoenix area.
• Other duties as assigned.
