Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Part Time Float Pharmacy Technician to support Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy operations. You will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, with travel across the Houston area and potential overnights.

The role requires a Texas Pharmacy Technician license, 1+ year experience, and driving access.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Texas Pharmacy Technician license.
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver’s license.
• Ability to travel to other sites as needed.
• Willingness to stay overnight for travel.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and maintains inventory records in the computer.
• Assists Pharmacist in pharmacy functions and ensures compliance with state/federal requirements.
• Performs clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicates professionally in written and verbal form.
• Other duties as assigned.
