Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems at Edwards AFB, CA, seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Flight Test Engineer to develop and publish environmental control system test plans, and to operate in a flight test control room with test support teams.

This on-site position requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of related experience (or a Master’s with 3 years), and the ability to obtain US clearance. Overtime, travel, and a discretionary bonus may apply, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM and 5 years related experience, or Master's with 3 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government clearance and SAP clearance.
• Flight Test Experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish environmental control system test plans and procedures.
• Operate in a flight test control room.
• Provide lab and ground support for integration testing.
• Host test planning working groups.
• Interface with design/analysis teams to define test data requirements.
• Review test requirements for completeness.
• Perform system-level evaluations.
• Support test readiness reviews and briefings.
• Contribute to pre/post-test data analyses to identify anomalies and maintain metrics.
• Serve as focal point between maintenance, design engineering, and test site team.
