Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Flight Software engineer to design and own software that brings spacecraft to life. You’ll work with mission operations, GNC, and hardware teams to architect, prototype, and deliver robust software for use in space missions.

The role emphasizes solving complex autonomous systems problems in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on end-to-end software from architecture to flight operations.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required to access export-controlled data.
• Active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• 8+ years of total flight software experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Python, or Rust.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own mission-critical software for satellite systems throughout the full software lifecycle.
• Develop rapid, iterative software for bench testing and robust flight delivery.
• Plan and execute unit, integration, and system-level testing of satellite components.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, test, and operations teams to drive roadmaps.
• Support spacecraft commissioning during launch and early operations.
