Apex is seeking a Flight Software Engineer to design, develop, and own software for our satellite buses. You will work across high-level application, OS, and embedded software teams and collaborate with mission ops, GNC, and hardware teams to deliver robust, mission-critical software that flies.

The role emphasizes solving complex autonomy problems in a fast-paced environment. Experience in space is not required; strong problem solving, technical rigor, and teamwork are valued.

Qualificações

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to access export-controlled data.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI access and SAP eligibility.
• 8+ years of total flight software experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Python, or Rust.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and own mission-critical software for satellite systems through full lifecycle.
• Develop rapid, iterative software for bench and development testing and flight operations.
• Plan and execute unit, integration, and system-level testing of satellite components.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, test, and operations teams to define roadmaps.
• Support spacecraft commissioning during launch and early operations.
