Job summary

Astroscale U.S. Inc. in Denver is seeking a Senior Flight Software Engineer to design, develop and test embedded software for spaceflight missions. You will contribute to on-orbit servicing capabilities and collaborate across hardware, systems and mission teams.

Experience with C/C++/Rust, RTOS, Python and Linux, strong software‑hardware integration, and a passion for delivering reliable code in space are essential. Bachelor's in CS/CE and excellent communication complete the profile.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Experience with software/hardware integration.
• Experience with real-time operating systems and schedulers.
• Experience with Python, Bash, Linux, Git and Docker.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded software solutions for spaceflight applications across Astroscale U.S.’s mission portfolio.
• Rapidly prototype software to prove concepts and support hardware‑in‑the‑loop development.
• Contribute to system definition, OPS development, requirements and interface definition.
• Collaborate with internal and third‑party organizations and perform issue assessment across software-hardware interfaces.
