Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid FAA Dispatch License.
• 4-5+ years dispatching ETOPS 180 or higher.
• 4+ years in operations/flight coordination.
• Lead, supervisory, or informal team-lead experience preferred.
• Ability to make sound decisions independently, including in the absence of direct management oversight.
• Excellent computer skills, including Windows-based platforms and airline management software.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to train, coach, and give feedback to team members.
• Comprehensive knowledge of FARs, weather, and technical dispatch skills; multi-task and prioritize under pressure.
• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-shift authority for the Flight Following team in the Director's absence and guide the team.
• Analyze, plan, brief, and conduct flight following with PIC coordination.
• Execute and file flight releases with weather data, NOTAMs, and crew briefings.
• Monitor flights and escalate irregularities; involve Manager or DO as needed.
• Maintain qualifications to conduct Flight Follower qualification training and competency checks.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Control on planned/unplanned maintenance affecting routing.
• Initiate and direct emergency procedures and notifications during irregularities.
• Ensure shifts and records are completed; communicate significant impacts to DO/Manager.
