Job summary

Gridiron Air, based at Fort Worth Alliance Airport, seeks a Lead Flight Follower to lead the Flight Following team, coordinate with the PIC on preflight planning, and ensure safe, compliant flight operations. You will coach, train, and quality-check peers, acting as the on-shift authority in the manager's absence.

The ideal candidate has FAA Dispatch credentials, 4–5+ years ETOPS dispatch experience, and solid background in operations coordination.

Qualifications

• FAA Dispatch License is required
• 4–5+ years dispatching ETOPS 180+
• 4+ years in operations/flight coordination
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong decision-making and communication skills
• Familiarity with FARs, weather, and dispatch concepts
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-shift authority for the Flight Following team in the Director's absence.
• Plan, brief, and conduct flight following for trips—routing, fuel, NOTAMs, weather, ground handling.
• Execute and file flight releases with complete weather, NOTAMs, and crew briefings.
• Monitor in-progress flights and escalate irregularities to Manager/DO.
• Maintain qualifications for flight follower training and competency checks.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Control on scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and irregular ops.
• Direct emergency procedures and optimize operations during disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with duty, flight time, and rest requirements per regs.
• Support crew scheduling on logistics and scheduling compliance.
• Assist Manager/Director of OCC with day-to-day team management.
