Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Flight Dispatcher to join our operations control center in East London. In this critical role, you will plan and monitor flight operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance for every flight.

You will make real-time decisions on routing, weather advisories, and operational adjustments in collaboration with flight crews and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a strong background in aviation regulations, meteorology, and flight

Qualifications

• Valid Flight Dispatcher license or equivalent certification (e.g., DGCA, EASA, FAA).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in flight planning and dispatch operations.
• Strong knowledge of meteorology, navigation, and air traffic control procedures.
• Proficiency with flight planning software and systems.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and issue flight plans, considering weather, airspace restrictions, and operational requirements.
• Monitor flights in progress, providing updates and adjusting routes or altitudes as needed.
• Analyze meteorological data and forecasts to ensure safe flight conditions.
• Coordinate with flight crews, air traffic control, and other operational departments.
• Ensure all flights comply with company policies and aviation regulations.
• Manage operational contingencies and emergencies, acting as a primary contact.
