Job summary

City of Dallas is hiring a Senior Fleet Parts Specialist to lead and support inventory, ordering, receiving, storing, and delivering automotive parts for the fleet storeroom. You will supervise junior specialists, ensure accuracy, and maintain records using a computerized system.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, processing orders, reviewing PO and price agreements, and training staff in safe handling and inventory procedures while upholding city guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of storekeeping and inventory systems.
• Understanding purchasing principles and materials quantity controls.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Experience with cataloging and parts identification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise lower fleet part specialists in ordering, receiving, storing, and delivering automotive parts.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and records using computerized systems.
• Review purchase orders, price agreements, and direct pay orders for accuracy.
• Identify obsolete inventory for disposal and ensure compliance with municipal controls.
