The City of Austin, within the Austin Fleet Mobility Services, is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist II to support parts issuing, research, and inventory management within a busy automotive fleet environment.

You will process purchases, manage vendor invoices, conduct daily cycle counts, and ensure accurate parts availability. Strong inventory software skills and experience with automotive parts are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent plus three (3) years of experience in a warehouse/inventory control related field.
• Education may substitute for experience up to the maximum of two (2) years.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License, if required for the position.

Responsabilités

• Receives, ships and verifies items; inspects condition; performs operational checks on inventory and reconciles discrepancies.
• Documents goods purchased, received and/or issued; provides status updates on variances.
• Prepares items for shipment and selects economical shipping method.
• Documents items shipped and records transport information.
• Expedites deliveries and assists with purchase orders, quotes and service requests; processes invoices.
• Replaces or repairs damaged or obsolete items per guidelines.
• Monitors inventory levels, cycle counts, forecasts, and replenishment lead times.
• Coordinates disposition of idle, excess or obsolete stock; serves as liaison with procurement and vendors.
• Operates pallet lifts and forklifts as required.
