Job summary

Mansfield Service Partners in Houston, TX is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to lead the regional transportation fleet, overseeing safety, maintenance, compliance, and efficiency across 200+ vehicles in our service operations. The role collaborates with business leadership to optimize total cost of ownership and profitability using Samsara, Fleetio and SMARTruck.

The ideal candidate has extensive fleet operations leadership experience, deep DOT/FMCSA knowledge, and strong mechanical

Qualifications

Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Fleet operations and supply chain in the trucking industry.
Five (5) or more years of leadership/management experience.
Five (5) or more years Fleet management experience.
Strong understanding of DOT compliance and FMCSA safety compliance.
Strong technical ability with respect to operations and the management of logistics.
Strong mechanical ability with understanding of our fleet.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, operations, or supply chain preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide effective servant leadership and safety-first culture daily.
Oversee procurement of preventive/repair maintenance and parts and track costs.
Develop strategies to achieve measurable financial goals for the Fleet region.
Participate in budget process and manage fleet spending within budgeted amounts.
Develop and implement strategies for maximizing fleet productivity and safety.
Interact with Mansfield Energy departments to maximize profitability and customer retention.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and safety standards.
Develop contingency plans for weather events and supply shortages.
Negotiate and close major contracts with vendors in the supply chain.
Assist in developing safety, profitability, and productivity targets and performance plans.
Lead safety training with regular monthly safety meetings.
Travel up to 50% as required.
