Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to support regional Fleet Services facilities, maximize fleet performance, and minimize operating costs. You will collaborate with customer organizations and affiliates to meet vehicle and equipment requirements and drive strategies to keep Fleet Services competitive.

The role involves extended hours during storms or energy delivery emergencies and requires strong leadership, process improvement, and safety performance in a high-output environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering AND 4-7 years related business experience, or in lieu of Bachelor's degree, either: Associates Degree in Engineering or Automotive technology or related field AND 5-8 years relevant business experience OR 6-9 years relevant business experience
• Proven Leadership ability in a high performance work culture
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including technology and performance
• Proven high performance in safety
• Demonstrated expertise in technical and diagnostic skills
• Experience with forensic accident investigation processes (Root Cause Analysis/Failure Analysis)
• Working knowledge of local, state and federal transportation regulations, procedures and processes
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
• Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of vehicular operational systems and related equipment
• Working knowledge of Fleet Management System (M5) and related software

Responsibilities

• Governance and oversight of Fleet's asset management processes including vehicle assets and fuel management
• Organize and lead retirement and disposal of fleet vehicles
• Resolve vehicle and equipment operation issues with manufacturers, vendors and affiliates
• Oversee traffic violation processes related to company vehicles
• Develop reports to provide analytical support for performance indicators
• Environmental SPOC for Fleet audits and emergencies
• Project management of Fleet initiatives improving safety, cost and operations
• Aid in disaster recovery plans and business procedures for Fleet Services
• Manage vehicle licensing and registration processes
• Manage vehicle repair warranty recovery process
• Interact with executives to communicate vehicle and equipment trends and needs
• Coordinate with State Transportation and Environment agencies for compliance
