Job summary

Buckeye Broadband is seeking a Master Fleet Mechanic to lead major repairs and routine maintenance for a fleet of about 160 vehicles. This role requires diagnosing complex vehicle systems, performing engine and transmission work, and mentoring junior fleet mechanics.

The position reports to the Technical Operations Supervisor and collaborates with vendors and other departments to ensure safe, reliable fleet operations. Strong ASE credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• ASE Master Mechanic certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule preventive and routine maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
• Troubleshoot vehicle systems to identify needed repairs.
• Complete minor and major in-house repairs including engine/transmission work where feasible.
• Schedule major repairs with approved vendors.
• Maintain vehicle records and inspection forms per industry standards.
• Prepare new vehicles for service with radios, safety equipment, and storage compartments.
• Coordinate transportation of vehicles to repair facilities when needed.
