Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six years of automotive/heavy equipment repairs with supervisory lead.
• A.S.E. and E.V.T. certifications preferred; own tools required.
• Experience with diesel and gasoline engines, electrical and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs on fleet and emergency vehicles.
• Specialize in automotive electrical and emergency vehicle equipment repairs.
• Supervise fleet maintenance staff and coordinate work orders.
• Respond to roadside or field repairs as needed by the department.
• Check-in, make-ready, and decommission new equipment.
• Order parts and monitor supplies for the garage.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with safety standards.
