Job summary

Buckeye Broadband in Toledo, OH is seeking a Master Fleet Mechanic to oversee all major repairs and routine maintenance for the company’s fleet of about 160 vehicles, including engine and transmission rebuilds.

As the SME within Technical Operations, you will mentor Fleet Mechanics, coordinate with outside vendors and vehicle operators, and report to the Technical Operations Training, Safety, Fleet, and Quality Control Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• ASE Master Mechanic certification is required.
• EPA 609 Technician Certification is required.
• Minimum of 10 years vehicle mechanics experience is required.
• DOT medical certification is required.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, engines, brakes, and automotive systems is expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and routine maintenance on company-owned and leased vehicles including bucket trucks and related equipment.
• Troubleshoots vehicle systems to identify repairs for safe operation.
• Performs major and minor repairs in-house when possible, including engine and transmission work.
• Coordinates major repairs with approved vendors.
• Maintains vehicle records per industry standards.
• Prepares new vehicles for service with radios, bins, ladder racks and safety equipment.
