Job summary

Recology is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations for multiple sites. You will direct shop personnel, coordinate procurement, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in fleet maintenance, supervisory experience, and the ability to manage budgets while improving efficiency and safety across operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor preferred.
• Eight years related industry experience, including four in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing maintenance operations.
• Experience with fleet maintenance programs and safety audits.

Responsibilities

• Overses all maintenance operations and directs shop personnel across shifts.
• Authorizes procurement of parts, supplies, tools and machinery.
• Contracts for services not performed in-house.
• Advises on vehicle and equipment replacement needs with leadership.
• Participates in budget development for maintenance operations.
• Administers inspections and audits to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Identifies safety hazards and protects personnel.
• Investigates equipment damage and accident-related costs.
• Occasional driving of a company vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned.
