Job summary

Recology King County is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team responsible for vehicles, equipment, and yard facilities. The role includes scheduling, safety compliance, and coordinating repairs across shifts to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance policies, assisting in purchasing, and maintaining records. The position requires flexibility to work any shift and respond to emergencies around the clock, with priority given to safety

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience or related management experience.
• Training, supervision, and evaluation of staff.
• Budgeting and planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and directs maintenance shop personnel across shifts.
• Supports Equipment Maintenance Manager to meet maintenance operations.
• Ensures compliance with policies and CBAs where applicable.
• Assists with purchasing parts, supplies, tools, and machinery.
• Keeps records for service, repair, parts, and inventory.
• Inspects facilities and equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Responds to equipment emergencies 24/7.
• Other duties as assigned.
