Job summary

Hendrickson Transportation Group in Corpus Christi, TX, seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead the Vehicle Maintenance department for the CCRTA contract, directing day-to-day operations and ensuring fleet readiness.

You will supervise technicians and clerks, coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, and regulatory compliance, and report to the General Manager.

This is a non-bargaining-unit management role requiring extensive supervisory experience and strong safety leadership.

Qualifications

• Two-year program in diesel/heavy-duty vehicle mechanics or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a vehicle/fleet maintenance shop.
• Experience repairing diesel/CNG engines and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Working knowledge of DOT and FTA regulations applicable to vehicle maintenance.
• Proficiency with fleet maintenance and diagnostic software and standard PC applications.
• Knowledgeable in interpreting the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department, including bargaining-unit personnel.
• Assign, schedule, and monitor PMIs, repair work orders, and state safety inspections.
• Ensure at least one journeyman-level mechanic is assigned to CCRTA contracts.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements.
• Supervise procurement, parts inventory, and warranty processing.
• Respond to road calls and emergencies, including evenings and weekends as needed.
