Job summary

The candidate will drive risk-based assessments, perform material failure investigations, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with FAA/EASA authorities to resolve complex regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 13 years of technical discipline experience or 15 years broad engineering experience.
• Advanced degree in engineering preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop certification strategies that minimize testing while maintaining compliance.
• Lead delegated authority processes and engage FAA/EASA as needed.
• Identify and mitigate compliance risks early in design and drive resolution before testing.
• Perform root cause analysis on flammability test failures and implement corrective actions.
• Assess supplier material data, qualification packages, and manufacturing changes affecting flammability compliance.
• Analyze how engineering changes impact certified flammability baselines and approvals.
