Responsibilities

• Manage fixed asset accounting activities, including capitalizations, transfers, retirements, depreciation, and construction-in-progress (CIP).
• Partner with plant Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams on capital projects and fixed asset transactions.
• Support ASC 842 lease accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and accruals in accordance with US GAAP.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.
• Prepare account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve reconciling items.
• Analyze financial results and account fluctuations.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset, lease, and assigned general ledger accounts.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Assist with CapEx, fixed asset, and balance sheet reporting.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis for Accounting, Finance, and operational leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Utilize automation, AI, and technology to improve accounting and reporting efficiencies.
• Participate in ERP implementations, system enhancements, and process-integration initiatives.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve data quality and reporting accuracy.

A growing global manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Corporate Accounting team in Alpharetta, GA.

This position will primarily support Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting, while also providing exposure to broader corporate accounting, financial reporting, capital projects, process improvement, and system initiatives. The Senior Accountant will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Engineering, and plant operations teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2–5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Experience with fixed asset accounting and ASC 842
• ERP experience required; SAP or JD Edwards is a plus
• BlackLine experience is a plus
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups
• Interest or experience utilizing AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
