Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business with emphasis in accounting or related experience.
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a general ledger environment.
• Experience with fixed assets and general ledger processes.
• Familiarity with Aderant Expert and/or Sage FAS is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Record fixed assets following formal procedures and controls.
• Update accounting policies related to fixed assets as needed.
• Record acquisitions, transfers and disposals in system.
• Close project costs from Construction in Progress to fixed assets.
• Perform reconciliations between fixed asset subsidiary ledger and GL.
• Calculate depreciation in Sage FAS and maintain roll-forward schedules.
• Review assets for obsolescence and advise on disposals.
• Prepare fixed asset analyses and audit schedules as required.
