Job summary

Helmerich and Payne, Tulsa-based, seeks a Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets to maintain asset records and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting. You will drive automation, support capital projects, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial results.

The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and Oracle ERP proficiency. Hybrid or onsite work with comprehensive benefits and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; fixed asset accounting preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and fixed asset accounting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset subledger with accurate capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements and disposals.
• Reconcile fixed asset subledger to the general ledger; ensure asset balances are complete and accurate.
• Monitor capital project costs with project managers and stakeholders for proper accounting treatment.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries and reconciliations for fixed assets and capital expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies on capitalization thresholds and depreciation methodologies.
