HP Hood is seeking a skilled Fixed Asset Accountant to maintain and reconcile fixed asset accounts, post journal entries, and uphold data integrity across the Fixed Asset Database.

The role requires advanced Excel, strong analytical skills, and a solid GAAP background. Experience with capital expenditures and asset management is highly valued, with opportunities for advancement in a large consumer goods company.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge is essential.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Experience with fixed assets accounting is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Ability to create ad hoc queries in databases.
• Experience with SAP (S/4HANA) and Sage is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset accounts.
• Post Fixed Asset journal entries and update schedules.
• Ensure data integrity of Fixed Asset Database.
• Support capital expenditure activity and asset cost allocation.
• Reconcile asset software with accounting software.
• Assist in fixed asset audit schedules and reporting.
• Close monthly and quarterly books related to fixed assets.
