Job summary

Commonwealth of PA is seeking a Fiscal Management Specialist 3 to lead budget planning, oversee critical financial reviews, and guide essential fiscal operations across the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs. You will supervise two specialists, coordinate MOUs and NOS, and respond to audits while ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting.

This role involves telework options up to three days per week with in-office requirements for key events, a standard work schedule, and opportunities

Qualifications

• One year as Fiscal Management Specialist 2 or two years in professional fiscal administration with a related bachelor's degree.
• PA residency requirement and ability to perform essential job functions.
• Veterans' employment preferences information.

Responsibilities

• Budget Preparation: Prepare state budget documents, rebudget materials, spending plans, and projections.
• Financial Reporting: Review expenditures, create weekly reports, track funds, and complete fiscal adjustments.
• Staff Supervision: Guide and support two Fiscal Management Specialist 2 employees through daily tasks and responsibilities.
• Audit Response: Research financial issues, prepare corrective action updates, and respond to audit requests.
• Document Review: Approve invoices, salary adjustments, travel codes, and fiscal correspondence.
• Project Development: Create and manage MOUs, NOS, and related amendments.
