Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in California is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter/Inspector to independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and company procedures.

You will review blueprints, install equipment, coordinate with engineers, document work, and keep accurate records. A license and field experience are required, with NICET pursued within the first year, and a valid driving record.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of sprinkler industry experience.
• CA Sprinkler Fitter License/Certification required.
• NICET certification pursued within first year.
• Excellent written and oral communication and customer service oriented.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends and/or out-of-town assignments.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Review blueprints/drawings to determine system locations.
• Install equipment according to NFPA standards and installation standards.
• Meet with engineers and site contacts to report work status.
• Provide documentation and testing certificates upon completion.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Maintain company vehicle inventory and report issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
