Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter/Inspector to independently inspect, test, and maintain sprinkler systems, ensuring NFPA compliance and proper documentation. The role requires reviewing plans, coordinating with site contacts, and maintaining records with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in the sprinkler industry, a valid CA sprinkler license, and NICET initiation within the first year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years sprinkler industry experience.
• CA Sprinkler Fitter License/Certification is required.
• NICET certification should be pursued within the first year of employment and maintained while employed.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a customer-service orientation.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team and independently.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from job sites.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and out-of-town assignments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems independently.
• Review blueprints/drawings to determine system locations.
• Install equipment according to national sprinkler and life safety codes and standards.
• Coordinate with building engineers and site contacts and report work status.
• Provide NFPA-compliant documentation after testing and certification.
• Maintain accurate records and tools; report defects promptly.
